TV picks for Oct. 5-6:  Elton John, "Jerseylicious," "The People's Couch"

In "Elton John in Concert" (9 p.m. Saturday, TPT, Ch. 2), the legend performs to an intimate audience of 300 people who patiently sit through new material like "Oscar Wilde Gets Out" before being treated to more popular fare like "Rocket Man" and "Your Song."

Now that Snooki and "The Situation" have moved on, it's safe for the salon workers of "Jerseylicious" (7 p.m. Sunday, Style) to invade Jersey Shore in this sixth-season premiere. Will the residents of Asbury Park ever get any relief?

In the experimental new series "The People's Couch" (10:30 p.m. Sunday, Bravo), cameras are turned on viewers to record their comments while they watch popular shows from the last week. Gee, it's bad enough when our spouses gab when we're trying to watch "Homeland." Why would we want to be bothered by perfect strangers?
