Anyone with a disastrous date story will get a kick out of "My Crazy Love," a new series in which people re-enact personal stories from their love lives. First up: Tina (she doesn't use her surname) shares how she got overwhelmed by a hunky guy and pretended to be deaf, while Adrienne Bailon ("Nail'd It") confesses how her disgust for tomatoes almost ruined a perfect relationship. 9 p.m. Oxygen

Martin Smith, a veteran journalist who has documented the Iraq conflict since 2003, offers his latest findings in "The Rise of ISIS," a powerful edition of "Frontline." The documentary lays out how the buildup of unheeded warnings, failures and missed opportunities allowed the group to arise from Al-Qaida in Iraq. 9 p.m. TPT, Ch. 2

Love is the law

Those who enjoyed Eliza Coupe's passive-aggressive character on "Happy Endings" will be happy to know that she's landed on her feet in "Benched," a highly enjoyable new sitcom in which she plays a corporate lawyer who downsizes into the public defender's office. We've seen plenty of comedies set in the legal world, but few have been as clever as this promising effort, which also showcases the efforts of former Minnesotan Maria Bamford. 9:30 p.m. USA
