Don't drink the water
Director Bruce Beresford ("Driving Miss Daisy," "Tender Mercies") goes slumming in "Flint," a protest march that never gets moving. Jill Scott and Queen Latifah are among those playing Flint, Mich., residents poisoned by the local water system, but Beresford is so busy jamming all the talking points into the film that the characters come across as afterthoughts.

Almost all the great memories last season from "Saturday Night Live" had to do with politics — except one. Tom Hanks' over-the-top, elevator-riding character David S. Pumpkins got so much buzz that he earned an animated platform. SNL's "The David S. Pumpkins Halloween Special" also features "Game of Thrones" kingpin Peter Dinklage.
