Laugh in

"Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television" streams on YouTube Red. The channel's obscurity is a big target in this anything-goes comedy that also pokes fun at its star's C-level status, buddy-cop movies and laugh tracks. Recent Emmy nominee Samira Wiley ("The Handmaid's Tale") plays the detective who barely puts up with the "Veronica Mars" veteran's antics and the insider jokes. Your tolerance level may also be tested.

The Moore, the merrier

Shemar Moore may be leading the team on "S.W.A.T.," but he's making time to revisit his old squad mates on "Criminal Minds." Moore, an original "Minds" cast member dating back to 2005, returns to help Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) deal with a highly personal case.

Going to the dogs

Twin Cities resident James Denton ("Good Witch") co-hosts "The 7th Annual Hero Dog Awards," which celebrate canines that went beyond the call of duty. The roster of two-legged guest stars includes Billy Crystal, Jay Leno and Vivica A. Fox.
