Country comforts

"Chasing Nashville" (9 p.m., Lifetime) takes a look at four teenagers trying to make it in the music business and their often cutthroat parents who seem to think it's all about them. If Honey Boo Boo ever decides on a singing career, we're in real trouble.

I dare you

My idea of a dangerous stunt is getting on a chair to change a light bulb, so I might not be the right audience for "American Daredevils" (9 p.m., History), a new show that features some of the country's top stuntmen. I should note: It's an awfully wobbly chair.

The big bluff

Michael Ian Black and D.L. Hughley try to out-smirk each other in "Trust Me, I'm a Game Show Host" (9:30 p.m., TBS), a new series in which contestants try to guess which comedian is telling the truth. It's a fun idea — for about 15 minutes. Hard to believe this would be something you'd want to watch every week.
