The bewitching hour

Melissa Joan Hart, best known as Sabrina the Teenage Witch, tries to make magic behind the camera as director of "The Watcher in the Woods," a remake of the 1980s horror classic. Anjelica Huston takes over a role originated by Bette Davis.

Fish out of water

There's nothing sweet and juicy about "The Jellies!" a new animated series about a family of jellyfish that seems to have adapted to life above the sea by watching Richard Pryor routines. The 15-minute episodes flail around, but there are some clever slaps at pop-culture icons.

11:15 p.m. Saturday, Adult Swim

The horror!

"The Simpsons" celebrates its 28th climb to the "Treehouse of Horror" with a clever parody of "The Exorcist" featuring the voice of that film's director, William Friedkin. But for real chills, stick around for the last installment, in which Homer develops a sweet tooth for ... himself.

7 p.m. Sunday, KMSP, Ch. 9
