Hot wheels

Blair Underwood brings a lot of intensity to his starring role in "Ironside" (9 p.m., KARE, Ch. 11), a remake of the classic drama that ran from 1967-75. Unlike with original star Raymond Burr, you actually feel like Underwood could do some damage to someone, even from his wheelchair. The tone, however, may be a bit too harsh for network television.

The Big Easy

Sara Johannes, executive chef for Minneapolis-St. Paul airport's Shoyu, is among the competitors in the 11th season of "Top Chef" (9 p.m., Bravo), which takes place in New Orleans, the best food city in America. Guest judges include Jon Favreau, Questlove, Lea Michele and Dr. John.

Dance fever

Miley Cryus has nothing on "Big Freedia: Queen of Bounce" (10 p.m., Fuse), a New Orleans legend in the world of competitive hip-hop. The eight-part series looks at Freedia's preparations for a world tour and how she's coping with her mother's illness.
