Side by side by side

"Company" (8 p.m. Friday, TPT, Ch. 2), Stephen Sondheim's most melodic musical, gets a bare-bones treatment from a top-notch cast that includes Neil Patrick Harris (when does this guy sleep?), Stephen Colbert, Jon Cryer, Patti LuPone and Christina Hendricks. Now that's some company!

Hope floats

"Raising Hope" (8 p.m. Friday, KMSP, Ch. 9), the blue-collar version of "Modern Family," returns with a delightful guest appearance from Jeffrey Tambor. Kudos to the writers for coming up with an ingenious opening that catches you up on the series.

We are Marshalls

Happy days are here again when Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams, better known as Laverne & Shirley, sip Pepsi-and-milk malts on "Sam & Cat" (7 p.m. Saturday, Nick). Then look for Garry Marshall to reunite with Scott Baio on "See Dad Run" (7 p.m. Sunday, Nick), with Marshall's son, Scott, sitting in the director's chair.

What an honor

George Clooney, Kathryn Bigelow and Sacha Baron Cohen are among the big names who will be celebrated during the "BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards 2013" (8 p.m. Sunday, BBC America) or, as it's called in certain circles, "Another Chance for Hollywood Stars to Drool Over Each Other as They Impatiently Await the Oscars."
