Directly speaking

Richard Schickel, who has made a mini-career of exploring the work of Clint Eastwood, is at it again with "Eastwood Directs: The Untold Story" (7 p.m., TCM). Stick around for Eastwood's "White Hunter Black Heart" (8:15 p.m.), an underrated gem about the making of "The African Queen."

While you were away

You don't want anyone breaking into your house when you're not around — unless the intruder is Robbinsdale's Amy Matthews. She's the host of "Renovation Raiders" (8 p.m., HGTV), in which she and her crew remodel a house when the owners are out to dinner.

Everything old is new again

"Pawn Stars" (8 p.m., History) returns on a new night with a new theme song from Lynyrd Skynyrd. Among the historic items under consideration this season: a guitar believed to have been autographed by Paul McCartney, a NASA space toilet seat and a document signed by Aaron Burr.
