Broken rules

It's the 100th episode of "Rules of Engagement" (7:30 p.m., WCCO, Ch. 4) and supposedly the last. I say "supposedly" because this show has returned from the dead more than once. Not a big loss, but I will miss Patrick Warburton's one-of-a-kind delivery.

Games people play

"The Goodwin Games" (7:30 p.m., KMSP, Ch. 9), a new sitcom about dysfunctional siblings forced to bond after the death of their father, was created by Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, the team behind "How I Met Your Mother." That's promising. The way Fox has kept it on the shelf isn't.

It's good to be the king

Mel Brooks gets semi-serious for "Mel Brooks: Make a Noise" (8 p.m., TPT, Ch. 2), an exhaustive documentary that sings the praises of the longtime funnyman. It's a revealing examination, although I probably could have done without the in-depth conversation about the making of "Dracula: Dead and Loving It."
