The last stand

Several documentaries straddling the line in the battle between abortion foes and abortion rights advocates have come out this year, but you'll still be moved by "Jackson," a poignant portrait of the major players from both sides, fighting over the future of the last abortion clinic in Mississippi. Director Maisie Crow's patience and attention to pathos pay off.

Star of the month

Younger movie fans may not be familiar with Clark Gable, but they really should give a damn. Turner Classic Movies will honor the one-time King of Hollywood every Tuesday this month. The tribute starts with "It Happened One Night" (7 p.m.), one of the most award-winning comedies of all time. Still holds up today. For a more complete understanding of Gable's influence, stay up for "Clark Gable: Tall, Dark and Handsome" (1 a.m.), the 1996 doc hosted by Liam Neeson.

Choppy waters

The second season of "Below Deck Mediterranean" features new crew members — and new reasons to believe the boat will have problems surviving a three-hour tour. If eye candy is more important to you than smooth sailing, climb aboard.
