Win fast money

CNBC gets into the game-show business with "Crowd Rules" (8 p.m., CNBC), a competition series in which three small-business owners plead with 100 audience members for their support and $50,000. Maybe the financial news station should apply the same strategy to get more viewers.

Shake, shake, shake

Before teaming up for "Batman," Michael Keaton and director Tim Burton gave us 1988's "Beetlejuice" (8 p.m., ABC Family), a frightfully funny outing with great turns from Winona Ryder, Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis. Just try to resist dancing on your futon couch when the Harry Belafonte tunes kick in.

Strange bedfellows

The goo-goo eyes between Nick (Jake Johnson) and Jess (Zooey Deschanel) on "New Girl" (8 p.m., KMSP, Ch. 9) could have proved tragic on a lesser sitcom, but the writers have done a top-notch job of wringing laughs out of the possible pairing. Some big decisions will be made in this season finale, which takes place at Cece's wedding.
