Meet the Met

For the second year in a row, "E! Live From the Red Carpet: The 2017 Met Gala" will give homebound viewers an opportunity to witness Anna Wintour's A-list soiree. You don't have to know the big names of the fashion world to get in some serious star gawking. Last year's attendee list included Emma Watson, Margot Robbie and Taylor Swift.

6:30 p.m., E!

Second time around

"Kevin Can Wait" has been little more than a reboot of "King of Queens," with one crucial missing ingredient: Leah Remini. That piece is back, at least for the season's final two episodes, when Kevin James' former TV wife returns as a much-appreciated guest. This time around, she's James' former police partner and the two of them must go undercover as — you guessed it — husband and wife.

7 p.m., WCCO, Ch. 4

Jagged little pills

According to "Warning: This Drug May Kill You," 80 percent of recent heroin users started with prescription opioids. If that statistic doesn't bowl you over, the personal horrors shared in this intimate, heart-shattering documentary will.

9 p.m., HBO
