A bumpy ride

Meredith and Derek of "Grey's Anatomy" have had more ups and downs than a roller coaster at Disney World. Even die-hard fans of this series must be getting a little queasy about the relationship, which once again hits a rough patch in this new episode. 7 p.m. KSTP, Ch. 5

Tricks and treats

It's not exactly Halloween season, but you should still check out at least part of a four-hour block of "The Simpsons" featuring its annual "Treehouse of Horror" episodes. Lots of good, spooky fun. 7 p.m. FXX

Time of their lives

Remember when Thursday nights constituted must-see TV? Unless you're a Shonda Rhimes fanatic, that's not so true anymore. Which leaves a good excuse to rewatch 1987's "Dirty Dancing," the light romance that never loses its rhythm. 7:30 p.m. ABC Family
