Hey, now!

"The Zen Diaries of Garry Shandling" instantly joins "Mr. Warmth: The Don Rickles Project" and "Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work" as one of the finest documentaries ever about a single comedian. The film's running time of more than four hours over two nights may sound excessive, but director Judd Apatow rewards viewers with insight into the late comic's mind and neuroses. For anyone who gives a hoot about the art of stand-up, this is required viewing.

7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, HBO

So in love

Recording artist Teyana Taylor and NBC star Iman Shumpert appear to have a pretty stable marriage in the new reality series "Teyana & Iman." Good news for them, bad news for viewers who like drama that goes beyond a couple trying to schedule booty calls. Wake me when the newlyweds rent out their attic to Omarosa.

8 p.m., VH1

Lives in the balance

Will Smith's latest mission to the world has him hosting "One Strange Rock," a new docu-series in which the movie star and astronauts repeatedly warn viewers about how close the Earth is to going kablooey. It's a pretty depressing science lesson, but Smith seems to be enjoying his role as town crier.

9 p.m., National Geographic
