In the garden

Albert Maysles, who died earlier this month, made some of our greatest documentaries alongside his brother, David. Barbara Kopple, another fine filmmaker, hosts a four-movie tribute to him, which starts with the much-celebrated "Grey Gardens." 7 p.m. TCM

Tattoo you

Lena Dunham, who has a tiny tattoo of children's literature heroine Eloise on her lower back, pays tribute to the illustrator in "It's Me, Hilary: The Man Who Drew Eloise," a documentary about the stubborn artist Hilary Knight and his often volatile relationship with the books' author, Kay Thompson. 8 p.m. HBO

Grand opening

"The Late Late Show With James Corden" kicks off with a boost from NCAA basketball promos as well as Tom Hanks, Mila Kunis and One Direction. Not a bad way to start, but Corden will have to prove himself to millions who have never heard of him. 11:35 p.m. WCCO, Ch. 4
