Back to school

Sasha Pieterse and Janel Parrish reprise their "mean girls" roles for "Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists," a new soap that revolves around the murder of a student at the country's most intense college. As far as credibility goes, the spinoff gets a solid "F," but viewers never tuned to the original for an accurate reflection of contemporary youth and producers aren't about to mess with the franchise's over-the-top formula.

8 p.m. Freeform

Network standards

If you missed Michael Bublé's concert at Xcel Energy Center earlier this week, or simply have to hear "When You're Smiling" one more time, you can check out "Bublé," his seventh special for NBC. Cécile McLorin Salvant joins the singer for a version of "La Vie en Rose."

9 p.m. KARE, Ch. 11

Wonder woman

Madonna, the pop singer, seems like just a material girl compared with Madonna Thunder Hawk, the American Indian rights activist who is just as fiery and formidable today, in her late 70s, as she was when she helped occupy Wounded Knee. If the late-night airing of this loving documentary, "Warrior Women," is inconvenient, you can watch it for free at worldchannel.org.

11 p.m. TPT, Ch. 2
