This land was his land

The best way to honor the late Pete Seeger is to catch the 2009 special "Pete Seeger's 90th Birthday Celebration" and sing along to every folk song. You'll be in pretty good company. Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp, Joan Baez and Emmylou Harris are among the more famous warblers. 7 p.m. TPT, Ch. 2

The fixer

Gordon Ramsay to the rescue! Greg Kinnear's sinking vessel, "Rake," is moving to Friday and a disappointing "American Idol" is being bumped back an hour to make room for the 12th season of "Hell's Kitchen." If "Idol" continues to lose viewers, could Ramsay be called upon to bring the screaming back to singing competitions? Don't bet against it. 7 p.m. KMSP, Ch. 9

Stalk out

Steve Buscemi sheds his scary "Boardwalk Empire" skin to play a Willy Loman-like celery salesman in a fresh episode of "Portlandia," one of the most inventive sketch shows on the air. Is there anything Carrie Brownstein can't do? 9 p.m. IFC
