A peek behind the curtain

It seems a bit early for rookie sitcom "Black-ish" to be doing a behind-the-scenes/blooper special, but I guess it's better than a rerun. Maybe they'll get around to explaining what happened to Laurence Fishburne. Minnesota native Yara Shahidi, who plays the oldest daughter, helps conduct the tour. 8:31 p.m. KSTP, Ch. 5

Artists' quarters

In "American Canvas," comedian Dave Holmes gets to know major cities through their art and culture. First up is San Francisco, where he checks out a vertical dance company and the world's largest private collection of coin-operated mechanical instruments. 9 p.m. Ovation

Dinner is served

Foodies won't want to miss "Best New Restaurant," a well-done reality-competition series that pits top eateries against each other. This week, it's the Pines in Brooklyn vs. Union in Pasadena, Calif. I've eaten at the latter; the Pines staff has its work cut out for them. 9 p.m. Bravo

BLACK-ISH - "Colored Commentary" - Dre wants the family to feel more connected so he encourages "Team Johnson" to embrace what it means to have each other's backs. But Dre creates trouble for himself when he falls short of Bow's expectations. Meanwhile, Bow and Dre invoke "Team Johnson" and put the less-than-enthusiastic Zoey and Andre Jr. in charge of babysitting the twins, on "black-ish," WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 3 (9:31-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
