Wonder twins

"Marvel's Cloak & Dagger" may feature two teenage superheroes, but it's far from a lightweight offering as the two struggle with haunting losses and serious anger issues. Aubrey Joseph, who played Simba in the Broadway musical "The Lion King," and "Kickin' It" star Olivia Holt handle their grown-up duties well.

Fergalicious

The only reason to tune in for a second season of "The Four: Battle for Stardom" is to see if host Fergie finally gets fed up introducing other singers and demands to take the spotlight. Charlie Walk, who was MIA from last summer's finale while facing allegations of sexual misconduct, is not returning.

Hear her roar

Alicia Silverstone has played her fair share of not-so-clueless heroines, but "American Woman" may be her richest opportunity in years. She's a 1970s socialite who can't be bothered with the feminism movement — until she leaves her husband and is forced to wait on her upscale neighbors in a department-store job. The series is based on the real-life upbringing of "Real Housewives" star Kyle Richards, but don't hold that against it. The performances, and soundtrack, are top-notch.
