Spoonfuls of sugar

Spend Father's Day making dear ol' dad feel guilty about never buying you enough toys by watching a 37-episode marathon of "Silver Spoons," the series in which Ricky Schroder gets so spoiled by his fun-loving pop that he almost certainly was heading to a therapy-filled adulthood. Young Jason Bateman's take on Eddie Haskell is still a hoot.

Live and let die

"Autopsy: The Last Hours of David Bowie" strongly suggests that it has unearthed startling new evidence about the legend's death, but the discoveries by its experts, including San Francisco chief medical examiner Michael Hunter, aren't terribly jaw-dropping. Bowie's final album, "Blackstar," offers more revelations than these vultures.

He will find you

In "Deep State," Mark Strong joins the list of 50-and-older actors whose characters are dragged out of retirement to avenge the fate of a loved one. The British tough guy doesn't get quite as much of a workout as Liam Neeson, but he's just as menacing as an ex-spy who still has a few tricks up his sleeve.
