Strange magic

We're suckers for British period dramas. Add the intrigue of magic and the miniseries "Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell" will draw you in. An adaptation of Susanna Clarke's Hugo Award-winning fantasy books, this story looks at two men who are determined to bring magic back in turn-of-the-century England. Starring Eddie Marsan and Bertie Carvel. 9 p.m. Saturday, BBC America.

Fatal attraction

Hospital roommates make strange bedfellows on "I Killed My BFF: The Babysitter." Two mothers bond in the hospital but things go sour when one is attracted to the other's boyfriend. Based on a true story. 7 p.m. Saturday, Lifetime

No Love story

"White Men Can't Jump" is not the Kevin Love story. This 1992 classic is the story of a white con man (Woody Harrelson) who hustles unsuspecting black playground basketballers. 5:30 p.m. Saturday, VH1

Selina for president

Will Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Selina Meyer become the first woman elected POTUS? Hillary Clinton will be watching the season finale of "Veep" intently. 9:30 p.m. Sunday, HBO
