Solo Cup

For the moment, forget about the FIFA scandal and concentrate on the soccer games themselves. In the "FIFA Women's World Cup Canada 2015," it's Sweden vs. the United States, in live action in Group D play from Winnipeg. It's a 24-team field, with games in six Canadian cities. Cheer for Hope Solo, Amy Wambach and our women unless, of course, you're Swedish. 7 p.m., KMSP, Channel 9

You gotta have faith

The recurring theme of Season 3 of "Orange Is the New Black" is faith. In the season premiere, Alex lands back in Litchfield Penitentiary because Piper violated her parole. And a new inmate impacts the Piper/Alex relationship. Have faith. Full season now streaming on Netflix.

Right place, right time

New Orleans legend Dr. John makes great music — and sometimes great conversation. He chats with "Tavis Smiley" about his fine Louis Armstrong tribute album, "Ske-Dat-De-Dat ... The Spirit of Satch." It'll get you in the mood for the good doctor's free concert June 27 at CHS Field in St. Paul. 11:30 p.m. TPT Life, Ch. 2.3

An innocent man

Journey back to 1987 when Billy Joel still released new music, boasted a head of hair and lived with a woman close to his own age. "Billy Joel: A Matter of Trust — The Bridge to Russia" takes us along on his historic trip after the Berlin Wall came down and the feisty piano man played "Back in the USSR" and "The Times, They Are A-Changin' " in three Soviet cities. 9 p.m. TMCe
