The always unpredictable Maggie Gyllenhaal stars in "The Honorable Woman," an eight-part miniseries about the daughter of a Zionist arms procurer who inherits his company and vows to invert its purpose to try to reconcile differences between the Israelis and Palestinians. 9 p.m. Sundance

Revenge of the nerds

Investigate the species known as "the geek" from the safety of your own living room during "Comic-Con All Access," a one-hour collection of highlights from the San Diego festival that has become a haven for sci-fi and superhero fans. Programming will be partly controlled by viewers via social media. 10 p.m. Spike
