If you were a Carpenter

"The Astronaut Wives Club" gets ready for Scott Carpenter's launch into space. And Rene Carpenter gets to tell her story to Life magazine. Remember Life? Oh, you read Look. Enjoy this 1960s flashback docudrama style. 7 p.m. KSTP, Ch. 5

The genius of 'Ray'

You may not think much of Jamie Foxx as a singer or a comedian. But there's no doubt about his acting chops in "Ray," the story of music icon Ray Charles. Foxx won the Oscar for best actor for portraying the blind piano legend. 6:25 p.m. Showtime

'Dome' secrets

In Season 3, "Under the Dome" is beginning to make much more sense. Like the first two seasons, this year's installment occupies only two weeks of time. After the mysterious happenings in the tunnels, the folks of Chester's Mill try to move on. Big Jim Rennie suspects newcomers Christine Price (Marg Helgenberger) and Eva Sinclair know secrets about the Dome they won't share. 9 p.m. WCCO, Ch. 4
