TV picks for July 19-20:  "Nick of Time," "Oprah's Master Class," "The Lottery"

Before "24," Johnny Depp was on the clock in 1995's "Nick of Time," in which his character's crisis — kill the governor or lose his 10-year-old daughter — played out in actual time. It's only a mediocre drama, but Christopher Walken has hammy fun with his role as the bad guy. 7 p.m. Sunday, WUCW, Ch. 23

We don't usually attend "Oprah's Master Class" (We don't like school on Sunday nights), but this session with Prof. Billy Bob Thornton could be interesting, especially if he talks about how he helped create the creepy charmer Lorne Malvo in the Emmy-nominated "Fargo." 9 p.m. Sunday, OWN

The future looks downright scary, at least according to a new crop of TV shows. Just weeks after the debut of "The Leftovers" comes "The Lottery," a drama in which the world faces the possibility of extinction in 2025, due to a global fertility crisis. One hundred viable embryos are created and a national lottery is held to see who gets control. I wonder if they're using scratch cards. 9 p.m. Sunday, Lifetime
