Down on the farm

Iowa farmer Chris Soules plows through a field of 30 women pretending to adore the rural life, all for the cause of being picked by "The Bachelor." Season 19 starts with a three-hour episode in which Soules must eliminate eight women while still making time to milk the cows. 7 p.m. KSTP, Ch. 5

Arthur! Arthur!

Jean Arthur takes center stage starting with the Frank Capra classic "Mr. Deeds Goes to Town," in which a small-town poet (Gary Cooper) inherits a fortune — and a host of problems. Other films later in the evening include "The More the Merrier," "You Can't Take It With You" and "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington." 7 p.m. TCM

Temp jobs

"The Late, Late Show" is using replacement hosts until James Corden settles into his new digs. First up: Craig Ferguson's longtime buddy Drew Carey, who will welcome Eric Idle, Ethan Hawke and Sharon Osbourne, among others, all this week. Future subs include John Mayer, Sean Hayes, Wayne Brady and Will Arnett. 11:35 p.m. WCCO, Ch. 4
