Unsung heroes

Robin steals the spotlight from Batman and the other super-elders in "Young Justice: Outsiders," an animated series in which traditionally second-tier superheroes have just as much trouble wrestling with guilty consciences as they do trying to save the world from meta-human traffickers.

Mighty mouse

"The Hollywood Walk of Fame Honors" strolls down memory lane with highlights from Walk of Fame ceremonies for Jennifer Garner, Dwayne Johnson and Zoe Saldana. The real highlight is the tribute to Minnie Mouse by Katy Perry, sporting a dress that would make Goofy's eyes pop out.

8 p.m. Friday, WUCW, Ch. 23

That's a rap

One of the Star Tribune's finalists for Artist of the Year also gets some love from Twin Cities Public Television, which dug into its vaults for "Dessa: A Minnesota Original Special." A recorded concert at the Cedar Cultural Center features the versatile artist collaborating with other local musicians, including Sean McPherson and Aby Wolf.

Growing up fast

Penny Marshall made some popular films in her time (as well as a mean Pepsi-and-milk drink) but her greatest triumph was directing 1988's "Big," the comedy that proved Tom Hanks was more than just our bosom buddy. Marshall, who passed away last month, strikes just the right balance of wistfulness and wackiness in this ageless classic.

10:30 p.m. Sunday, Paramount
