Meet the parent

We may have met Ted's future wife during the final season on "How I Met Your Mother" (7 p.m., WCCO, Ch. 4), but we haven't learned much about her. That changes in this new episode told from The Mother's (Cristin Milioti) point of view.

Howard's family

"Private Parts" (7 p.m., VH1 Classic), the Howard Stern biopic, may not have swept the Oscars, but it did help further the careers of several cast members. Rewatch to enjoy early work from Mary McCormack, Paul Giamatti, Allison Janney and, in a fleeting role as Stern's daughter, future "Modern Family" star Sarah Hyland.

Pantsuit politician

CNN and NBC may have abandoned plans to produce work on Hillary Clinton, but other brave networks won't be stopped. "First Ladies: Influence and Image" (8 p.m., CSpan3) spends two hours taking a look at the influential figure. Detractors are nonexistent due to the fact that it's airing on, well, CSpan3.
