One last ride

"Last Resort" (7 p.m., KSTP, Ch. 5) couldn't stay afloat. Despite glowing reviews, especially for the solid Andre Braugher, this submarine saga was never able to secure a significant audience. This final episode probably won't satisfy fans, which is the danger that skittish networks get into when they back a serialized series. Better luck next time, Andre.

Start spreading the news

The 13th season of "Project Runway" (8 p.m., Lifetime) kicks off by challenging 16 designers to come up with garments inspired by something in New York City. No fair picking the near-naked guy who hangs out in Times Square.

Quentin unchained

It's a busy night for fans of Quentin Tarantino. First up: his 1992 breakthrough film, "Reservoir Dogs" (8 p.m., Showtime), which still delivers a punch (not to mention an ear slicing). Then the recent Golden Globe winner stops by "The Late, Late Show With Craig Ferguson" (11:35 p.m., WCCO, Ch. 4), which also will welcome Tom Hanks. Now there's a collaboration we'd like to see.
