Strange bedfellows

"Meet the Coywolf" (7 p.m. TPT, Ch. 2), the latest offering from "Nature," examines a hybrid created by the mating of coyotes and wolves. I'm guessing this creature is a lot more common than the "girquito," which involves intimate relations between a giraffe and a mosquito.

Shower the people

The uneven workplace comedy "Workaholics" (9 p.m. Comedy) returns for a fourth season of slacker antics, starting off with the guys having to attend a baby shower in order to get tickets for an electronica music show. Yeah, that happens all the time.

Sex and the city

Amy Poehler is the executive producer for "Broad City" (9:30 p.m. Comedy), a sitcom about twentysomething single women that's less ambitious than "Girls," but much funnier. The promising series stars veteran sketch artists Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer, who also created it.
