A snow leopard in "Planet Earth II." There are may be as few as 3500 snow leopards left in the wild. They are famously illusive and difficult to film and have become increasingly threatened by climate change and human disturbance.

Work it, Natasha

Aussie actress Natasha Bassett takes on the role of pop icon Britney Spears in "Britney Ever After," which, based solely on the trailer, seems more fascinated with the pop icon's failed relationships than, say, the recording of " ... Baby One More Time." Not surprisingly, Spears has not given her blessing to the film.

Long live the queen

"Victoria," the current offering from "Masterpiece," seems to be heading toward cult status. Last month's series premiere reached 6.3 million viewers, which is 17 percent more than the highest-rated episode of "Downton Abbey" in its first season. Starring Jenna Coleman as the young Queen Victoria, the series wraps up its season March 5.

Globe trotting

"Planet Earth II," another breathtaking trip around the world, may actually be an upgrade from the 2006 original, thanks to new gizmos and Job-like patience from the six-hour documentary's ace squad of filmmakers. Each episode falls into a somewhat predictable pattern, but for raw demonstrations of the forces of nature, this outing is hard to beat.

8 p.m. Saturday, BBC America, AMC and Sundance
