Happily ever after

The love affair between Holly Robinson Peete and Rodney Peete previously sparked the OWN series "For Peete's Sake." The power couple may have relocated to "Meet the Peetes," but they're still motivated by hugs and kisses, a welcome alternative to the gluttony of other unscripted series in which bickering is valued more than bliss.

As he was saying

Everyone deserves some time off, but is it too much to ask to have "Last Week Tonight With John Oliver" every single Sunday? Sermons from the liberal pulpit just aren't the same without the Rev. Oliver presiding. Fortunately, he's back after a three-month break — and HBO is promising episodes through at least 2020.

Out on a limb

Eric Andre is a surreal performance artist, a throwback to Ernie Kovacs. In his latest special, "Eric Andre Does Paris," he's willing to do anything to shake up convention, even if it means triggering a war with the French. Andre may not be everyone's cup of tea, but no one else on TV today is so willing to risk bodily harm, not to mention his reputation.
