Cannon's ball

"Caught on Camera With Nick Cannon" proves that its star will host anything in his quest to be the next Ryan Seacrest. The special exploits global footage from news crews, camcorders and cellphones that doesn't exactly bring out the best in people. You can be pretty sure that Cannon's ex, Mariah Carey, won't be among the victims. 7 p.m. Friday, KARE, Ch. 11

Just for laughs

Get a backstage pass to some of your favorite current sitcoms in "Now That's Funny! On Set With TV's Hottest Comedies." Tour guides include Jim Parsons, Sofia Vergara, Amy Poehler, Mindy Kaling and Allison Janney. 7 p.m. Friday, WCCO, Ch. 4

Going long

The long delayed documentary on the NFL's first openly gay football player finally sees the light of day in "Michael Sam," a 90-minute film that is immediately followed by a sit-down with Oprah Winfrey. Now if only an NFL team wanted him as badly as Miss O does. 8 p.m. Saturday, OWN

Baker's dozen

Looks like England can hold a televised cooking competition without any help from native Gordon Ramsay. "The Great British Baking Show," a major hit overseas, comes stateside with 12 amateur bakers going up against one another. Leading cookbook writer Mary Berry and artisan baker Paul Hollywood serve as the lucky judges. 7 p.m. Sunday, TPT, Ch. 2
