And she won't stop

It may earn you a spot on next year's naughty list, but go ahead and spend the holidays with Miley Cyrus, starting with "21 Candles: Miley's MTV Moments" (7 p.m., MTV), followed by "Miley: The Movement" (7:30 p.m., MTV) and the now infamous "2013 MTV Video Music Awards" (9 p.m., MTV).

The gift of laughter

Jewish people who may feel left out at Christmas can spend the entire day with a living legend in an event being tagged "Oy! to the World: A Mel Brooks Christmas Marathon." The antics begin with the 2005 musical adaptation of "The Producers" (5 a.m., Sundance) and wrap up with "Robin Hood: Men in Tights" (2:15 a.m.).

The doctor's last case

"Doctor Who" (8 p.m., BBCA) says goodbye to the popular Matt Smith in both this traditional holiday episode and a special "Doctor Who: Farewell to Matt Smith" (7 p.m., BBCA). In honor of the event, you may want to serve English pudding as part of your Christmas dinner.

It must be mentioned that Miley Cyrus embodied more than one fashion trend this year. Is Cyrus becoming a fashion icon? Not by the standard definition. But heading into 2014 she was one of the most-watched people on the planet. (Photo by Joel Ryan/Invision/AP, File)
