I'm on fire

Those without the luxury of a fireplace — or the energy to clean up once the flames die down — can cuddle up to the televised "Yule Log." Just don't try to roast marshmallows. Doesn't work. 4 p.m. Hallmark Movie Channel

Good Godzilla

For flames of a different kind, try a four-day marathon of Godzilla movies, starting with "Gojira," the very first effort in which a 400-foot-tall mutant dinosaur awakens from the depth of the sea and makes his way toward Tokyo for some killer sushi. 5 p.m. El Rey Network

Home for the holidays

'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring — because they were planted in front of the TV. Options for the Eve include "A Christmas Story" (7 p.m. TBS), which will run continuously for 24 hours, "It's a Wonderful Life" (7 p.m. KARE, Ch. 11) and — for true-blooded Scrooges — "Bad Santa" (7 p.m. MTV).
