Naughty and nice

Twin Cities transplant Brian Setzer brings rockabilly to the yuletide party in "The Brian Setzer Orchestra: Christmas Rocks!" (7 p.m. Saturday, AXS TV) featuring the Stray Cat strutter's irresistible take on "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch." For a less raucous celebration, take a moment to soak in Minnesota native Judy Garland's rendition of "Silent Night," recorded in 1937. TCM will play the two-minute clip at 11:12 a.m. and 6:57 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

Repeat business

Fox's highly enjoyable live musical last weekend satisfied my need to check in with Ralphie, but if you feel differently, cable TV is once again providing 24 hours of "A Christmas Story," the 1983 film that made Red Ryder air rifles and an R-rated lamp part of many families' holiday traditions.

7 p.m. Sunday, TBS

Tale as old as time

Belle never decorates the Christmas tree in "Beauty and the Beast," but the 1991 animated classic sure feels like a holiday film, especially when the characters in the castle invite the young woman to "Be Our Guest." This was the first animated movie to get an Oscar nomination for best picture and the first that Disney adapted into a Broadway musical.

7 p.m. Sunday, KSTP, Ch. 5
