A royal pair
The fact that "First Lady Michelle Obama Says Farewell to the White House – An Oprah Winfrey Special" is premiering on prime-time network TV rather than Winfrey's cable channel shows you just how popular the soon-to-be former tenant of the White House has become. I wouldn't be surprised if the Queen of All Media uses some of their off-camera time trying to persuade Obama to launch a talk show on OWN. With their combined clout, they could probably get Stevie Wonder to lead the house band.

Talent show
"America's Got Talent Holiday Spectacular" offers fan favorites from the summer hit, including 12-year-old ukulele strummer Grace VanderWaal and crooner Sal Valentinetti, who gets the gift of Heidi Klum coming down from her judge's perch to join him on "Santa Baby." Open auditions for next season are taking place across the country through February. Open calls in Chicago, the closest scheduled site, have already passed.

Follow the bouncing ball
LeBron James continues to make moves off the court with "The Wall," his latest TV project. The game show, hosted by Chris Hardwick, hinges on the hopes that the combination of cascading colored balls and trivia questions will lead to a ratings bonanza. "Survivor's Remorse," the Starz comedy that also hails from James' production company, has been renewed for a fourth season.
