Ode to Joy

Joy Behar gets a star-studded salute as she says goodbye to "The View" (10 a.m. Friday, KSTP, Ch. 5). The episode closes with Tony Bennett serenading her as she twirls across the floor with Alan Alda. Bill O'Reilly's dance card was apparently full.

Pretty, pretty good

"Clear History" (8 p.m. Saturday, HBO) is being billed as a departure for Larry David, but the movie plays out like an extended version of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" — which means it's hilarious. David plays a consultant who goes into hiding when he quits a business right before it takes off. Michael Keaton, Jon Hamm and Kate Hudson are along for the wild ride.

God save the Queen

It's an entirely different game of thrones as three women vie for power during England's War of the Roses in "The White Queen" (8 p.m. Sunday, Starz), a 10-hour miniseries starring Max Irons, Rebecca Ferguson and Janet McTeer.

Bad to the bone

Walter White is back and, as he warns in this weekend's episode, everyone had better tread lightly. It's the first of the final eight episodes of "Breaking Bad" (8 p.m. Sunday, AMC), which is quite simply one of the most remarkable dramas of all time. For an in-depth look, plus comments from Bryan Cranston, see Sunday's Variety section.
