TV picks for Aug. 6: Shelby Stanga, 'The Chase,' 'Hot Listings Miami'

Instead, it leads into "The Legend of Shelby the Swamp Man" (9 p.m., History), in which our hero adapts to the fact that his houseboat has been destroyed.

If you like game shows served with smarts and sarcasm, you'll pant over "The Chase" (8 p.m., GSN), the Brooke Burns-hosted program in which contestants try to outwit a 6-foot-7 British genius who flaunts his superiority at every opportunity. Winning big is tough — as it should be.
