Man in the mirror

The King of Pop would have turned 59 today, reason enough to spend at least part of the day remembering the time he ruled the charts — and the airwaves. "Happy Birthday Michael Jackson" features some unforgettable videos throughout the day.

5 a.m., MTV Classic

Cinderella story

Walt Disney may be one of the most influential forces in pop culture history, but it's always been difficult to get a handle on him, especially when it comes to his less-than-Technicolor personal life. "American Experience: Walt Disney," which first aired in 2015, is more than a Mickey Mouse effort to paint a full biography, clocking in at four hours with plenty of commentary from historians and animators. His drive, which led to breakthroughs in animation as well as breakdowns in personal relationships, provides as much perspective as you could expect from such a complicated figure. Continues next Tuesday.

7 p.m., TPT, Ch. 2

Love, American style

"Black Love," a Valentine's Day card to couples in the African-American community, features big names like Viola Davis and Shanice showing that small things can make a big difference in making relationships work.
