Home cooking

Since Melissa Peterman grew up in Minnesota, we just assumed she made a mean hot dish. Turns out that may not be the case. The "Baby Daddy" star is one of the contestants in a new season of "Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition," testing her non-culinary skills against Erik Estrada, Carmen Electra and Perez Hilton.

I'll tumble for you

At the end of every episode of "Tumbleleaf," one of the animated critters encourages its preschool audience to turn off the TV and go outside to play. Fat chance. This colorful series, now in its third season, is full of addictive adventures that show innovative thinking is just as important as learning the alphabet.

People of Earth

The flight of the Voyager may be NASA's most ambitious, eye-opening journey. It's also one of the most impersonal, since no human being actually got on board to boldly explore new worlds. "The Farthest — Voyager in Space" cracks the code by focusing on the scientists and researchers back on Earth whose enthusiasm for the endless mission is palpable.
