To your health

"The Big Bang Theory" star Jim Parsons will serve as narrator on the prequel "Young Sheldon," coming to CBS this fall. First, though, he'll warm up his voice as tour guide for "First in Human," taking viewers down the corridors of the National Institutes of Health, the largest hospital in the world devoted to research.

This just in

"Saturday Night Live" is coming off perhaps its most successful season ever, which means the traditional summer vacation is out of the question. Producer Lorne Michaels has offered "Weekend Update" specials in the past, but expectations are sky high for four new specials featuring news from Michael Che and Colin Just, as well as appearances by past and present cast members.

Not necessarily the news

When Trevor Noah took over "The Daily Show," he vowed to spend less time beating up on Fox News and more time spreading the satire around. For the most part, he's stuck to his promise. But he's scheduled to give a State of the News Union on this episode, which means cable news executives may want to start working on their rebuttals.

10 p.m., Comedy Central
