Balloon artist

"Broad City" star Abbi Jacobson shows off her dramatic side in "6 Balloons," a quiet but effective indie film about a young woman running late to her boyfriend's birthday party so she can tend to her heroin-addicted brother. Nothing major happens, but the scene in which her bro (Dave Franco) shoots up in a bathroom stall while she changes her niece's diapers will give you the chills.

Now streaming on Netflix

Texas tragedy

Those who are done watching Paramount Network's excellent miniseries "Waco" may be interested in "Waco: The Longest Siege," a documentary about the tragic standoff between Branch Davidians and law enforcement.

She's got the beat

To counter a ratings slide, "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" is tinkering with its format. Its latest experiment: a guest co-host. Cardi B will fill that role tonight, and with good reason. Her spot on the show in December attracted more than 16 million online viewers.

10:35 p.m., KARE, Ch. 11
