The odd couple

Renovation shows are a dime a dozen these days, but "Nate and Jeremiah by Design" sets itself apart by focusing on dynamics between Minnesotan Nate Berkus and his life partner Jeremiah Brent, who somehow find time to sweetly bicker between remodeling issues. If there were ever a real life Bert and Ernie, these guys are it.

A movable beast

T.J. Miller, who specializes in playing the party guest no one invited, is perfectly cast as a Jabba the Hutt type who hosts a Japanese talk show in "The Gorburger Show." It's a clever concept that plays off the idea of late-night stars as ego monsters, but once the host finishes eating more than half the crew in the first episode, he transforms into a pretty swell egg. More chewing, less cooing, Gorburger.

In the swing of things

Golf may be one of TV's most leisurely sports, but "Jack" is nothing but heart-pounding action with its focus on highlights from Jack Nicklaus' 18 major wins. Nearly 100 interviews contribute to a worthy tribute to one of the game's greatest champions. The three-hour film continues Monday and Tuesday.
