Short end of the stick

For the cast, "Saturday Night Live: Digital Shorts" offers a breather from the live action. For the viewer, they're often the most memorable part of the entire show. Expect to see a whole lot of Andy Samberg in this collection of greatest hits. 8 p.m. KARE, Ch. 11

Sweet Melissa

Take advantage of the chance to enjoy a night with Melissa McCarthy without having to suffer through a "Mike & Molly" marathon. Check out "Identity Thief" (8 p.m. HBOZ), in which she tortures Jason Bateman, and "The Heat" (10 p.m. HBO2), in which she tortures Sandra Bullock.

Hot for teacher

CBS, once the network of classy comedy, takes another step toward crassness with "Bad Teacher," a small-screen version of the Cameron Diaz vehicle about a lazy woman determined to land a wealthy man. Where's Mary Richards when you need her? 8:31 p.m. WCCO, Ch. 4
