"El Chapo," the latest TV project to dramatize the Mexican drug kingpin's rise and fall, will span the past three decades. Marco de la O stars in this Spanish-language production; a version with English subtitles will be available on Netflix at a date to be announced.

Down in the Valley

You don't have to be a computer whiz, or even a viewer of previous episodes, to get hooked on "Silicon Valley," TV's most insightful workplace comedy. The fourth season kicks off with yet another shift in power and influence at the fictional start-up Pied Piper, but the show has never felt like a cut-and-paste job. Credit Mike Judge for continuing to find new ways to humanize tech geeks, while delivering laughs that should resonate in any office setting.
