Tyus Jones scores 41

• APPLE VALLEY 102, LAKEVILLE NORTH 74: Tyus Jones was 16-for-21 and scored a game-high 41 points as the Class 4A, No. 1 ranked Eagles defeated the No. 3 Panthers. Apple Valley led by nine at halftime and pulled away scoring 56 points in the second half. Five players scored in double digits for Lakeville North, including J.P. Macura, who scored 13.

• DASSEL-COKATO 69, SAUK RAPIDS-RICE 48: Junior guard Dalton Asplin went 5-for-7 from three-point range and led all scorers with 26 points as the Chargers defeated the Storm. The victory stops a 39-game winless streak for Dassel-Cokato dating back to Feb. 21, 2012. It is also the first victory for either team in their past 59 games combined.

Kennedy tops Jefferson

• KENNEDY 75, JEFFERSON 55: Kennedy's Kenisha Bell led all scorers with 22 points and Tonoia Wade added 13 as the Class 4A, No. 6 ranked Eagles defeated the Jaguars in the battle of Bloomington schools.

• LAKEVILLE NORTH 70, APPLE VALLEY 53: The Panthers jumped out to a 25-12 halftime lead and finished off the Eagles in the second half. Guards Temi Carda and Erika Rozell each scored 15 points for Lakeville North. Lyndsey Robson led Apple Valley with 19 points.

BOYS' hockey

Blaine beats Duluth East

• BLAINE 5, DULUTH EAST 2: The Bengals took a 5-0 lead into the third period and held on to defeat Duluth East. The Class 4A, No. 4 ranked Bengals were led by Brandon Notermann with two goals and two assists.

• STILLWATER 2, ROSEVILLE 1 (OT): Roseville's Chase Garvin scored the game-tying goal at 15:06 in the third period to force overtime. In the extra period, Stillwater's John Heddle scored at 5:31. Jack Manning scored the Ponies' only other goal in the first period.

Hopkins edges Wayzata

• HOPKINS 3, WAYZATA 2: A three-goal opening period proved to be enough for the Class 2A, No. 1 Royals to hold off No. 4 Wayzata. Nina

Rodgers scored one goal and assisted on another for Hopkins and goalie Erin O'Neil turned away 26 of 28 shots.
