Tuesday's prep roundup

Junior Zach Giesler's third goal of the game gave Providence Academy a 5-4 road win in overtime over Minnehaha Academy Tuesday night in boys' hockey.

Cole Knutson led the Redhawks by completing a hat trick of his own in the second period.

In the third period, the Lions trailed 4-2 after Eli Smith's goal at the 4:25 mark.

Kole DeRosier and Jordan Doucette scored back-to-back in the final six minutes of regulation to necessitate the extra frame.

Minnehaha Academy outshot the Lions 34-26.

Eastview 7, Prior Lake 6: The Lightning had a 7-2 lead before the Lakers made things interesting with four unanswered goals, the last two coming 26 seconds apart with less than four minutes to play. Nate Bordson led the way for Eastview with two goals and three assists. Zach Anderson added two goals. Jackson Jutting had two goals and an assist to lead the Lakers.

Rogers 5, Princeton 3: Luke Nelson had a hat trick for the Royals. And those goals were the junior's first three goals of the season. Dylan Timm added a goal and three assists. Patric Loeffler made 30 saves for Rogers.

St. Michael-Albertville 3, St. Cloud 0: Justin Damon made 35 saves to earn the shutout. Jordan Drobinski, Luc Laylin and Val Popowski scored goals for the Knights.

Centennial 2, Blaine 1: Anneke Linser scored the go-ahead goal midway through the third period to give the Cougars, ranked No. 2 in Class 2A, the win over Blaine, ranked No. 8. Emily Nadeau scored on a power play in the second period for Centennial. Gabby Rosenthal scored the Bengals' lone goal shortly after Nadeau's goal. Both teams had 18 shots on goal.

Elk River/Zimmerman 2, Maple Grove 2 (OT): The Elks (6-11-3) held off the Crimson (12-4-4), ranked No. 6 in Class 2A, largely because of Megan Jung's 30 saves. Lucy Morgan made 27 saves for Maple Grove. Kelsey King and Jenna Korinek scored for Elk River/Zimmerman. While Chloe Corbin and Mannon McMahon scored for the Crimson.

Blake 5, Shakopee 0: Anna Kruesel made 23 saves to earn the shutout for the Bears. Lily Delianedis and Madeline Wethington both had two goals for Blake. Addie Burton also scored. With the win, Blake, ranked No. 1 in Class 2A, remains undefeated.

North Wright County 5, Chisago Lakes 1: MacKenzie Bourgerie recorded her second hat trick of the season to lead the River Hawks past the Wildcats. The sophomore also assisted on Chloe Finnerty's shorthanded goal. Sydney Lemke also scored for North Wright County. Anna LaRose made 27 stops.

DeLaSalle 105, Brooklyn Center 58: The Islanders scored a season high in their victory over the Centaurs. Gabe Kalscheur led the way with 25 points, Brooklyn Center's Lu'Cye Patterson matched him. Tyrell Terry added 24 points for DeLaSalle and Christian Dickson had 17. The Islanders (9-2) are ranked No. 1 in Class 3A.

Chaska 72, St. Louis Park 66: Cole Nicholson scored a game-high 28 to lead the Hawks. Both Parker Bjorklund and Conner Krenos added 17. Aidan Doherty had 22 for the Orioles.

Wayzata 59, St. Michael-Albertville 45: The Trojans remained undefeated after beating the Knights in a matchup between two teams ranked in the top 10 of Class 4A. Kallie Theisen led Wayzata with 19 points and eight rebounds. Mackenzie Kramer had a game high 21 for St. Michael-Albertville.

Prior Lake 76, Lakeville North 73: McKenna Hofschild had a game-high 33 points to lead the Lakers past the Panthers in a South Suburban Conference matchup. Lauren Jensen scored 22 for Lakeville North.
