White Bear avoids upset, advances to section final CLASS 2A
• SECTION 4: A.J. Welch's third-period goal was the difference in White Bear Lake's 3-2 semifinal win Tuesday over Roseville at the State Fairgrounds. Sixth-seeded Roseville fired 39 shots and came close to upsetting the second-seeded Bears, but White Bear Lake's goalie Chase Gorman tallied 37 saves for the win. ... Hill-Murray advanced to its section final thanks to a lopsided 6-2 win over Stillwater. Willie Brown scored in each period. The Pioneers held Stillwater to 15 shots and killed two power plays early in the game. They had a two-goal lead going into the final period and scored three times late in the game.
CLASS 1A
• SECTION 2: Adam McLain had his hand in every goal in Delano's 5-1 win over Blake, with two goals and three assists. Eric Ylitalo added two goals. Delano goalkeeper Aaron Grangroth stopped 23 of 24 shots.
• SECTION 4: Totino-Grace exploded for four second-period goals against Mahtomedi to win 6-3 and advance to the section final game against St. Thomas Academy. Derek Lodermeier scored twice in that second period, while Mahtomedi managed only three shots on goal. Totino-Grace goalie Michael Larson stopped 16 shots in the win.

CLASS 4A
• SECTION 8: Lindsay Dorr had 12 points to lead all scorers as second-seeded Rogers defeated Bemidji 53-45. For the Lumberjacks, Casey Palmer and Jess Yost combined for 21 points. The Royals move on to face third-seeded Elk River at St. Cloud State on Saturday.
CLASS 3A
